Visitation Week

This past week was visitation week, and there is only one word to describe it:

CRAZY.

It was crazy fun, But also crazy exhausting and crazy stressful, and i got crazy sick. The visiting part wasnt stressful, but the trying to get my homework done on top of visiting was extremely stressful.

(p.s. I did visitation for Zeta Rho)

And.... its over now. i just sit around and wait to see if i get invited to 4th round mixers. eeeek!
i hope i do.

This week was also VERY emotional for me. Partly because i'm a girl and that is how i am under stress, and also because i had to face some realities that i wasn't mentally prepared to face yet.

But i'm a fighter. And i had a TON of blessings this week. I can't even begin to ennumerate them. And then that just made me even more emotional

This week made me very aware of the many MANY manyyyy blessings that i have received and i definitely DO NOT deserve.

My summer 2009 plans involve getting to go somewhere that i have wanted to go for a LONG long time, but had just accepted that i would never get the chance.
now i have the chance, and it is unbelievable.

Also, last saturday i got some potentially FANTASTIC news. Possibly the best news i've EVER gotten. We'll see how it works out.

So basically, i am BLESSED.... A LOT.
And not quite as tired now that i've recovered from visitation and now that i'm getting over this cold.

yes.

strEss

Let's run through the events of the past week.

Monday:
Stayed up until about 1:30 doing the Exploration of Mark and designing my project for 2-D design.

Tuesday:
Get to 2D to realize that the entire project was due and not just a design for it. (terrible feeling).
Worked all afternoon
Zeta Rho mixer in the evening (it was great, but time consuming)
Stayed up until 2:45 writing my cheat sheet for Mark Test

Wednesday:
Skip muffin chapel to study for the rest of my test
Take the test and totally bomb the essay becuase i cant think because i stayed up so late - but i think i did well on the mult. choice
Stumbled through the day half asleep.
Ate dinner.
Went to Sonic from 9-10 with friends visiting from NH.
Worked on my LATE 2d project, and then had to work on the new project for Thursday.
(the new project was not nearly as much work as i expected because Jesus really loves me and i had all the materials - i.e. a crate and barrel catalog i needed to make it a lotttt simpler than i was expecting - i.e. i didnt have to draw and render a picture)
Then did calculus homework until 2

Thursday:
My favorite day this week.
Skipped chapel so i could get 7 hours of sleep for the first time in awhile.
Went to 2d and passed in my late project. Mr Clayton highly complemented my other project (yesss!)
Got out at 11:15 instead of 1
Checked mail/ate lunch

And now i actually have an hour to chill out and do whatever the heck i want to.

Finally. A moment to stop.

((((sigh)))))

Honors scholar party tonight
Delta Gamma Rho 3rd round tonight
Survivor starts tonight
get my paycheck today
Today is good.
FINALLY.... a GOOD day.

Music Videos

Over the past few days two music videos have premeired on Yahoo Music and I cannot stop listening/watching.

Inconsolable - Backstreet Boys minus Kevin
Take Me There - Rascal Flatts

They are AMAZING.

And yes, I am still a BSB fan after all these years.

I worked for 9.25 hours this week.
yayyyyy! Since Kathryn started working and i started being friends with the other workers, it is a LOT easier to stick around.

"I wanna know everything about you
I wanna go down every road you've been
Where your hopes and dreams and wishes live,
Where you keep the rest of you life hid
I wanna know the girl behind that pretty stare
TAKE ME THERE
...Tell me what your story is."

Mat Kearney Concert!

Last night was the Mat Kearney concert! I had a ton of fun, but the opening act totally overshadowed Mat Kearney. His opening act was Five Times August, and he was AMAZING. I definitely liked him more. I got his CD, and Mat Kearney's CD and a Mat Kearney T-Shirt.
It was really good getting to do something just for fun.
Even if it did mean staying up until 2 to get all my homework done.
This weekend is the Memphis trip that has been wayy more trouble than it is worth. Hopefully we'll have fun and it will make up for it.
I'll have to bring homework to do in the car. ICK!
Whatever.
I officially applied for the social club process today. EEK! I still have NO IDEA which I want to pledge. I guess that is what 2nd, 3rd, and 4rh round mixers are for.
My song of choice right now:
Undeniable - Mat Kearney
" It's undeniable how brilliant you are
Its an unreliable world,
you shine like a star
Its unforgettable, now that we've come this far
It's unmistakable that you're undeniable."
it has this weird rap thing in it. but i still really like it.

Tuesday

" in a book in a box in the closet

in line in a song I once heard

in a moment on a front porch late one June

in a breath inside a whisper beneath the moon "

This is a busy, busy, busy week. A panic kind of week, but I think I see the light at the end now. I definitely didn't yesterday.

Let's not talk about yesterday.

Except for the sonic run. That was good for me.

World Lit test and CAD quiz yesterday. Calc Test tomorrow. 124 pages of the post-doctorate reading level book due Friday. Health and Safety tonight. Mixers Wednesday and Thursday. Matt Kearney concert Thursday. Memphis Saturday? 2-D Design sketches due every class period. A Birthday tomorrow. The "t-book" for World lit due "?".

There's kindof a lot on my mind right now. And that's not even getting into my personal life.
gahh...

I have good friends. :o)
