there's about a zillion things racing through my mind right now.
approximately 60% of them are things that do NOT make me happy. I need to change this.

She grew up on a side of the road
Where the church bells ring and strong love grows
She grew up good
She grew up slow
Like American honey
Steady as a preacher
Free as a weed
Couldn't wait to get goin'
But wasn't quite ready to leave
So innocent, pure and sweet
American honey
There's a wild, wild whisper
Blowin' in the wind
Callin' out my name like a long lost friend
Oh I miss those days as the years go by
Oh nothing's sweeter than summertime
And American honey
Get caught in the race
Of this crazy life
Tryin' to be everything can make you lose your mind
I just wanna go back in time
To American honey, yea
There's a wild, wild whisper
Blowin' in the wind
Callin' out my name like a long lost friend
Oh I miss those days as the years go by
Oh nothing's sweeter than summertime
And American honey
Gone for so long now
I gotta get back to her somehow
To American honey
Ooh There's a wild, wild whisper
Blowin' in the wind
Callin' out my name like a long lost friend
Oh I miss those days as the years go by
Oh nothin's sweeter than summertime
And American honey
American Honey, Lady Antebellum
Summers have always been magical for me. With the weather warming up, I've been thinking about summer a lot: last summer (the most magical one of all), and even all the summers growing up. This coming summer is the first one that I have no idea what to expect for it. I'm afraid that after graduation summers will lose their magic, and it makes me so sad to think that. My memories of and hopes for summer is what gets me through winter.

Snow Day!!
Yesterday we got out of classes early (which had started as a 2 hour delay), and today we got out of classes altogether because of .... SNOW!! So I thought I'd take the opportunity to play around with my NEW Nikon D3000 and also make some Harding memories!!
Me with my new umbrella, loving the chance to get
a break from classes, play in the snow, and
experiment with my camera!
Though this may look like a snowman with a levitating
head, there really is a stick for a neck. You wouldn't believe
some of the creativity Harding students have!
Thought this was a nice shot of one of the main pathways
alongside the front lawn.
I even ran into some of my friends! They are just way
too cute for words.
Me, next to my New Hampshire plate, looking right at home. :)
Check out facebook for more pics!

I go back.
I'm really missing Greece tonight.
All this rain makes me heartsick for the 3 months of sun overseas. All of those bright shiny memories are tugging on my heart and mind.
waking up way too early to go watch the sun rise over the aegean sea.
staying up way too late having crazy deep conversations with crazy wonderful people
sitting on the back porch at night looking into the clear night sky with more stars than i've ever seen before.
giant cinnamon roll hugging and praying on the beaches of the mediterranean sea
night swimming and inhaling too much water
mudbathing with vicky and fofi
meditating on the mount of beatitudes
singing in the temple of Luxor with Osman
praying on the mount of temptations
take me back.

I have this problem:
my homework is just not getting done.
senioritis strikes again...
wait.... am i old enough to be a senior? apparently I am, but I'm not sure when that happened. I feel like life is rushing past me and I'm desperately trying to cherish every moment but they just keep passing faster and faster... its insane.
this may be my first official late night of the semester.
I tried watching LOST tonight, even though the last episode I saw was in the middle of season 2. needless to say, I didn't really understand most of what was going on. however, there was still an island and still a plane, so it shouldn't be too hard to catch up...... right?
time for homework, I suppose.
