aaaaaaaaaaand spring break commences!
finally.
I'm sitting here at my sister's apartment on her computer and.... gasp... i can look at xanga and replay graffiti.
amazing.
Even though i have a lot of homework to do this break, i'm glad i'll be able to do it at home and not at school.
and that there won't be more work added to the pile daily. i might actually feel like i am accomplishing something.
i dont really see this break being the best break everrr or anything. but i am thankful for it nonetheless.
it may be hard to keep a good attitude about things. but at least i will be home.
i am soooooooooo glad to be going home.
i am soooooooooooo glad to be able to see my family and some of my closest friends.
yayyyy!!!
my plane leaves at 4:15 today.

one week
One week until spring break.
less, actually.
but one week of classes.
it will be a hard week, but not as hard as it was supposed to be. so far 2 tests have been moved until after break. maybe there will be more.
accounting test was this morning - it was easy
a presentation later - i'm scared
no lunch today :(
i really want some alone time in my room, but that appears to be impossible.
argh.
oh well.
i get to leave soon!

!
As follow-up on the last post, our prayers were MORE than answered. They were answered in a way i would have never imagined. how wonderful!
Last weekend i went to Baton Rouge, LA with ASID for career day. It was AWESOME. I didnt get a whole lot of pictures from the weekend, but i got a few. over all, it was VERY informative and TONS of fun. And since i had so much fun, i decided to sign up to go on an Art Department trip to Chicago in April. ...Chicago, here i come!

buuuuurn.
Every once in awhile we all have to do hard things.
Its starting to feel like my hard things come in groups, though.
and the climax is tomorrow.
I'd really appreciate it if you would keep me in your prayers tomorrow.
Specifically:
I'm just hoping and praying that it wont be a day that i wish i had not woken up for.
I want to be able to see the blessings amid the struggles.
I want open eyes, an open heart, and an open mind.

I'd really appreciate it if you would keep me in your prayers tomorrow.
Specifically:
- My first art history test is tomorrow, and i am terrified.
- Tomorrow i have to meet with someone. I dont exactly know what it is about, but if my suspicions are correct (and i think they are) it will be an extremely difficult conversation for me. It will be unbelievably hard for me to control my emotions - both anger and grief. i know it sounds like i'm being dramatic, and maybe i am, but the issue that i think will be talked about is something that has built up over a year. And i'm still not sure i'm ready to face it.

Theres a big group from Harding going to Clinton, AR today to clean up after the tornadoes that passed through this week. I really wanted to go and be a part of it, but since I am going out of town next weekend for Career Day, I just have too much homework backed up for me to spend all day somewhere else. Not to mention that I didn't sign up to go and they were really insistent that we MUST sign up. So I was really bummed about not being able to go, and I tried calling many many of my friends to get a ride to church, but they are all either going to Clinton, sick, or out of town. So I ended up walking all by my lonesome over to College Church for early service this morning. And oddly enough, it ended up being a blessing for me.
This morning the preacher, Noel Whitlock, was talking about gradual change - both as a tool of God and a tool of Satan. The lesson was entertaining and humorous, but also extremely thought-provoking. Change rarely, if ever, happens overnight. It is important to examine ourselves to make sure we are growing and not changing for the worse. Its not exactly a complicated message, but it got me thinking, and I am thankful for that.
Now on to the other news of this week.
EVERYONE.... EVERYONE is sick. except for Kristen and me, I guess. And we are beyond determined to stay healthy.
I'm not usually a germaphobe, but seriously, Harding right now is ridiculous. The flu is spreading like wildfire and TONS of people I know have fevers of 101+. ick.
Last night a girl came up to me and asked if I had a thermometer. I let her use it, and then after it had a reading of 101.7, I promptly got out my can of lysol and sprayed every surface i could find.
i WILL NOT get sick. it is just NOT an option.
so far so good.
i've been washing my hands like CRAZY, using germ-x constantly, taking my vitamins, and taking some extra zinc.
i refuuuuuuuse to get sick.
